Liability Policy for Horseback Riding and Animal Encounters Participation in horseback riding and animal-related activities involves inherent risks. By choosing to participate, all riders, participants, guests, and spectators acknowledge and accept these risks and agree to the terms outlined below. Assumption of Risk Participants understand that activities involving horses and animals can be unpredictable and may result in injury, illness, property damage, or death. Risks include, but are not limited to: falls, kicks, bites, scratches, collisions, equipment failure, uneven terrain, weather conditions, and the actions or reactions of animals, other participants, or spectators. Release of Liability To the fullest extent permitted by law, participants voluntarily release, waive, and discharge the owners, operators, instructors, volunteers, staff, property owners, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to participation in horseback riding or animal encounters, including those resulting from ordinary negligence. Participant Responsibility Participants agree to: -Follow all posted rules and instructions given by staff or instructors -Use provided safety equipment properly, including helmets if required or recommended -Ride or interact with animals only within their skill level -Immediately report unsafe conditions or injuries -Parents or legal guardians accept full responsibility for the participation of minors under their care. Medical Acknowledgment Participants confirm they are physically and mentally capable of participating in these activities. They understand that emergency medical care may be limited and agree to assume all costs associated with medical treatment, transportation, or rescue if needed. Animal Behavior Disclaimer Animals, including horses, are living beings with natural instincts. No guarantee can be made regarding their behavior, temperament, or reactions. Participants acknowledge that animals may act unexpectedly at any time. Property Damage Participants are responsible for any damage they cause to animals, equipment, facilities, or property due to negligence or failure to follow instructions. Governing Law This policy shall be governed and interpreted according to the laws of the state in which the activities take place.
